Vice President of Ngee Ann Polytechnic Visiting BISTU

Beijing, 28th March, 2016(BISTU)--- Vice President Peter Lam of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, visits BISTU on 28th March to discuss on cooperative project on studying in China. Prof. Wang Xingfen, Director of Academic Affairs Office and Dean of International Education School hosts the meeting and discussion.

Prof. Wang Xingfen extends her warmest welcome to Ngee Ann Polytechnic delegation headed by Prof. Peter Lam and introduces BISTU to the delegation, with focus on achievements that BISTU has made in recent years. the two universities holds similar principles of running the school and lay emphasis on applying learning as well as academic-industry collaboration in information era.

Prof. Peter Lam introduces Ngee Ann Polytechnic. As a state-owned university, Ngee Ann is one of the five national polytechnics of Singapore, offering 50 three-year duration programs in 9 schools, including School of Business and Accountancy, School of Engineering, School of Health Science, etc. All courses are delivered in English. Prof. Lam expresses that the University highly value internationalized education and hopes to carry out in-depth collaboration with international partners. He invites BISTU to visit Ngee Ann at due time so accelerate cooperation in the field of international education.

BISTU School of International Education signed short-term training course agreement with Ngee Ann Polytechnic. As Ngee Ann’s very first partner school in Beijing, BISTU accommodates over 40 students from Ngee Ann in School of International Education. It is expected that in near future the two institutions are to expand cooperation to the field of faculty exchange and joint research.    The delegation are also showed around international education facilities on Xiaoying Campus. Dr. Lu Jing, Director of International Cooperation Department and Vice Dean Cai Ying of International Education School attend the meeting and discussion.
